Do Marvel Teen Shows Send the Right Messages About Consent?

Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) and Cloak and Dagger (Freeform) casts
As a sexual violence prevention educator, I've watched the Marvel Comics-based, teen-centered TV shows with added interest. That’s especially true because I’ve worked mostly with teens and young adults, two groups that form a large portion of these shows’ audiences. toxic fandom bracket tournament rick and morty, bucky, marvel, fortnite, big bang theory
We love fandom. This site only exists because of fandoms and because everyone that writes (and reads) here has their own specific passions. But I think we can all agree that the dark side of fandom is really, really dark. Like harassing-women-off-Twitter, doxxing-fellow-fans, petty-petitions-to-remove-creators-that-don't-give-us-what-we-want sorts of dark. Fandom is a beautiful thing, but when it turns bad, it's toxic.
