Mental Health in a Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting more than physical health; it’s impacting mental health as well. Nearly half (45%) Americans report that their mental health has been negatively affected by stress over the virus. While all of us are feeling the strain from the uncertainty the pandemic has brought, and the new restrictions placed on our lives, those who were already affected by mental illness face even greater challenges.

This week we’re highlighting resources designed to help you minister more effectively to those dealing with mental illness during this already challenging time. Ministry for Depression will equip you to recognize the signs of depression and familiarize yourself with the causes and treatments. Healing is often slow, sporadic, and incomplete, but with God's help, it is possible. Also, check out our download on Mental Illness. This practical resource will equip you to deal with a range of mental health challenges in your church. This 22-page resource offers wisdom from those who have walked the path and tips on how to minister to the mentally ill.
