For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Isaiah 9:6
This Christmas, we remember how the infinite God cares for all of humanity and creation, “for God so loved the world that He sent His one and only Son.” (John 3:16)
No earthly king or kingdom can compare to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom, which the Prophet Isaiah proclaims. So we place our hope not in earthly things, but rather on that which is eternal: The Trinitarian God, the Word of God, and the Kingdom of God.
May Jesus, the Lord of wisdom (Wonderful Counselor), power (Mighty God), love (Everlasting Father) and peace (Prince of Peace) reign over heaven and earth, from now and always.
