Dear fellow South Carolinians,
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Today is a time to enjoy the presence of your loved ones and take in all the joys of the holiday season. May your day be filled with laughter, love and gratitude.
As you exchange gifts with your friends and family, I ask that you take a moment to remember the many gifts we as Americans enjoy. Our liberties and freedoms, earned to us by so many courageous men and women throughout the years, should never be taken for granted. We must keep in our thoughts those overseas who may not be with their loved ones this holiday, as they so selflessly defend and protect us all.
I am especially thankful for the many gifts God has given me, as well as the gift of representing the greatest state in the Union in the United States Senate. I will continue to work hard to ensure every American has access to opportunity and to ensure the voices of South Carolinians are heard in Congress.
