Sen. Louise Lucas faces charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and injury to a monument in excess of $1,000, Portsmouth Police Chief Angela Greene said during a news conference.
Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith says that "families can expect to receive frequent updates from the district and their schools as we enter the home stretch before classes start on August 31."
