Alan Schwartz, Co-founder of Midtown Athletic Clubs, Dies

Considered one of the “founding fathers” of the modern athletic and health club industry, Alan Schwartz grew Midtown Athletic Clubs from one location to one of the highest revenue-generating luxury club and tennis brands in the country. He later turned much of the operation of the business over to his son Steven while Alan focused on his love of tennis and growing its popularity.
