In 1975, Utah installed the first wildlife bridge in the nation on I-15 near the town of Beaver. Since then, over 50 wildlife crossings across the state have been built.
Why it matters: These wildlife crossings minimize the amount of wildlife/vehicle collisions that occur each year.
This year’s budget included a $1 million appropriation to address one of the most dangerous hotspots for wildlife vehicle collisions in the state.
