Here’s today’s forecast: 🌤 43 – 83° in Logan |💧 10% chance 🌥 62 – 87° in Salt Lake City |💧 20% chance ⛈️ 68 – 92° in St. George | 💧 30% chance We have taken to doing very scientific taste tests around the Deseret News offices of late for two of my favorite things: Diet Coke and cookies. 🥤 Hanna Seariac conducted painstaking research on the differences between Coke Zero (ew!) and Diet Coke, and I cannot believe I was not tapped for this important study. I consider myself a connoisseur of Diet Coke. So much so that when a former colleague of mine asked me for a favor a few years ago, he called me to ask if I was a white wine person or a red wine person. Without hesitation I said, “I’m a Diet Coke person.” He showed up to my office the next day with two flats of Diet Coke from Costco as a gift to show his gratitude. 🍪 Since Crumbl and Dirty Dough aren’t taking my idea to settle their differences in a “Great British Bake Off” style competition, our staff writers had to roll up their sleeves and do the dirty work themselves.
