Minicamp opens with some familiar faces back in Black and Gold

Hello, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Taysom Hill was there.

So was Alvin Kamara.

And Marshon Lattimore and Ryan Ramczyk and Andrus Peat.

The Saints hit the practice field Tuesday for the first day of minicamp workouts and enjoyed 100 percent attendance from players. It was the first time that we've seen the full roster together this offseason as a handful of players elected to skip the organized team activities the previous three weeks.

As practices go, it was a fairly routine one, with relatively little full-team work as players and coaches concentrated on individual work and 2-minute drills. Among the notes and observations in beat reporter Terrin Waack's Takeaways from Minicamp report was the notable absence of one key offensive playmaker, who was sidelined with an injury.

One of the trending topics of camp so far has been the rumor that the Saints might be the subject of this year's Hard Knocks series. Columnist Rod Walker surveyed players in the locker room to gauge their interest in being a part of the show. Let's just say they were in agreement on how they felt.

Speaking of, check out NOLA.com's Saints page to catch up on all of the news and analysis as the Saints continue their offseason workouts.

Until next time....

Cheers,

Jeff Duncan
