Protests in coordination with the global climate strike took place today at the State Capitol in St. Paul and in dozens of other Minnesota cities. 

On today’s show, we heard from young adults who are protesting across Greater Minnesota, and a parent as well. Later in the show I was joined by Republican Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka to talk about energy policy, the high cost of insulin, gun control and vaping.

Minnesota students strike for climate change action
Thousands of young protesters left school Friday to join the global climate strike in more than a dozen Minnesota cities — from Bemidji to Rochester. The protesters are demanding immediate action on climate change and major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

Lots of pomp, and a little protest, greet new U president
