Another week to be shaped by court fight over power dynamic within Minnesota Legislature

There’s another lawsuit headed to the Minnesota Supreme Court this week regarding the power standoff in the House that’s bleeding into week four. Meanwhile, the Senate will return to DFL control.
 
Blue Earth County up against the clock — and the unknown — in flood repair projects

Faced with the task of replacing a flood-damaged bridge, and removing a breached dam, county officials face the prospect of more spring floods and an uncertain timeline.

🪧 Demonstrators protest Trump's 'dystopian' immigration policies, promise to fight back. Democrats, who have 66 seats now, say they won’t return without assurances over how to share power if a forthcoming special election brings the House to a 67-67 tie. There is also a dispute over seating of a DFL member.

🥌 Photos: Duluth hosts U.S. Curling Nationals. The U.S. Curling National Championship wraps up Sunday, with Minnesota being represented in the finals by Team Peterson in the women’s championship and Minnesotans on both men’s team in the finals. Photojournalist Erica Dischino documented a day in the weeklong tournament held in Duluth.

🛜 Elon Musk's X sues Lego, Nestlé and more brands, accusing them of advertising boycott. The new defendants added into the legal filing included Lego, Nestlé, Tyson Foods, Abbott Laboratories, Colgate-Palmolive, Pinterest and Shell International. 

💰 Here are some goods in the crosshairs of Trump's tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China.  President Donald Trump signed an order to put tariffs on U.S. neighbors Canada and Mexico, as well as China, starting Tuesday. Canada and Mexico quickly announced retaliatory tariffs, while China said it would take “necessary countermeasures.”
