🌧️ Rain will continue across most of Minnesota into early Tuesday, then taper off from south to north during the day. The bulk of the rain will end in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota by around midday Tuesday.

❄️ The drop in temperatures combined with the precipitation moving north will result in a gradual change over from rain to snow starting in northwest Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and statewide by Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Minnesota’s multifaith leaders offer wisdom in this fraught political moment

Faith leaders in Minnesota are trying to build bridges at a time of intense political polarization. A group of them convened recently at the Minnesota Multifaith Network annual conference at the Hindu Temple in Maple Grove to share ideas.
 

Grapegate: Remembering the New York Times’ grape salad debacle 10 years later

As part of its 2014 collection of recipes “The United States of Thanksgiving,” the New York Times upset most of the state of Minnesota by claiming we celebrate Thanksgiving with what appeared to be a disgusting, broiled grape salad. A decade later, Minnesotans are still rightfully upset.
 
🗳️ Indigenous journalists question the accuracy of poll reported by some media organizations. Indigenous journalists are calling on news organizations to more accurately report on Indigenous people after some reported that almost two-thirds of Native Americans voted for Donald Trump in the recent election.  

🏛️ Opening statements delivered in federal human smuggling trial in northern Minnesota.
The organizers charged people who wanted to come to the U.S. tens of thousands of dollars. Using fake student visas, they would get the people into Canada, then take them to the U.S. border and have them walk across.

📱 FBI recovers deleted texts showing chaos of bribe attempt in Feeding our Future trial. In a new filing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson writes that defendant Mukhtar Shariff “knew about the bribery attempt” and deleted the encrypted messaging app Signal from his phone.

🎒 From Sahan Journal: 'We were already struggling.’ Several Somali mothers say they were duped into paying for poor tutoring services. They say they were unknowingly signed up to pay  for thousands of dollars in tutoring services through their state tax refunds.

📿 Teenage Buddhist lama celebrates last birthday in the U.S. before joining monastery in the Himalayas. A U.S.-born Buddhist lama celebrated his 18th birthday with an elaborate enthronement ceremony. It’s his last big party before he joins a monastery in the Himalayan foothills —  thousands of miles from his home in suburban Minneapolis.

🏒 PWHL releases neutral-site schedule with games ranging from North Carolina to the Pacific Northwest. The PWHL is taking women’s pro hockey to places from Raleigh, North Carolina, to the Pacific Northwest in releasing  its nine-date schedule of neutral site games.

Winter is coming: 5 ways to prep for cold weather hazards. Its Winter Hazard Awareness Week. It serves as an important reminder to stay informed about the potential hazards of winter weather so we can be better prepared to face whatever challenges Mother Nature may bring during the colder months.
🎧 New Minnesota clinic for asylum seekers is first of its kind in state. MPR News host Nina Moini spoke with Dr. Nathan Bertelsen about the clinic, which would be the first of its kind in Minnesota. Dr. Bertelsen worked closely with the Center for Victims of Torture to establish the clinic.

🎧 E. coli outbreak in Minnesota: How to stay safe. So far, 10 cases of E. coli in Minnesota have been connected to burgers sold at multiple Red Cow Restaurants in the metro and Hen House Eatery in Minneapolis.
