☀️ We'll have one more warm day across southern Minnesota ahead of a cool front coming in later Tuesday. Highs will be well into the 70s across southern Minnesota.
🌡️ It’ll be noticeably chillier Wednesday, but those readings will actually be right near normal with highs in the 40s north and 50s south.

Organizers: Pro-Palestinian protesters arrested after occupying U of M building

Students were occupying the building to demand the University of Minnesota divest from Israel and weapons manufacturers, among other asks. The occupation comes after extensive protests for divestment during the spring semester.

A Minnesota farmer and a college student walk a mile in each other’s news

🍼 St. Paul’s proposed tax hike to fund child care: 5 questions, answered. A St. Paul ballot question next month asks voters if they’ll authorize the city to levy property taxes to fund child care for low income families up to $20 million over 10 years. The mayor says he won’t implement the tax hike even if voters approve it. Here’s what to know.

🎓 Growing college fair serves Native American students, shows a path to higher education. The fair began in 2013, hosting around 50 students and families. Since then, it has grown into an event with over 40 colleges represented.
🏫 Justice Sotomayor says civics education key to future of democracy. During a visit to Minnesota on Monday, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said that civics education is key to preserving democracy and the rule of law.
🏺 10 days, 10,000 objects and one very large kiln. The largest wood-burning kiln in North America just completed its 10-day firing at St. John’s University in Collegeville. Over the course of the firing, the kiln was fed about 16 cords, or about eight tons of wood.

🕯️ Minneapolis Police Department investigating after a 3-year-old was fatally shot. Police responded to a 911 call at 12:45 p.m. saying a child had been shot. When officers arrived at the scene they rendered aid with emergency personnel. The child was transported to a hospital where they died.
