🦃 Thanksgiving Day brings gusty northwest winds and falling temperatures — by 6 p.m. wind chill readings will dip to a few degrees on either side of zero.
🥶 Our normal high Thanksgiving Day is around 38 degrees in the Twin Cities but today highs remain in the mid 20s. Temperatures this weekend will run a good 10 to nearly 20 degrees below normal.
The DNR is in its 11th year of offering free entry. According to Sara Berhow, who is with the Parks and Trails division, the day started as an alternative to Black Friday shopping.
