🌡️ Here we go again. Highs will be back in the 70s across southern Minnesota — nearly 20 degrees above normal. We’ll have filtered sun through high clouds and the warm weather will stick around into Tuesday.
🎃 A cold front will touch off rain late Tuesday into Wednesday. The showers should wrap up Halloween morning, making for a dry evening for trick-or-treaters.
Democratic incumbent Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Republican challenger Royce White faced off in their only U.S. Senate debate Sunday morning hosted by WCCO Radio.
Klobuchar, who was first elected in 2006, is seeking a fourth term in the Senate. White, a former professional basketball player who now hosts a podcast, said the status quo in Washington needs to be shaken up.
Over 100,000 people have ridden on Amtrak’s new route between St. Paul and Chicago, according to Amtrak officials.
The Borealis train hit the ridership milestone on Oct. 24, five months since opening the route to riders. The passenger line is Amtrak’s second daily train connecting St. Paul to Milwaukee and Chicago, with some stops in between.
🏫 8 school districts to watch as Minnesotans go to the polls Nov. 5. More than 300 Minnesota school districts have open board seats to fill on Election Day. While this year’s competition isn’t as intense as in recent years, many districts have multiple candidates on their ballots.
🐎 Dakota riders will ride again, continuing a legacy starting in December. After the Dakota 38+2 Memorial Ride ended in 2022, participants wanted the legacy to continue. Now they are starting the next chapter with two new rides — the Mankato Healing and Reconciliation Ride and The Dakota Exile Ride.

Indigenous people from Minnesota watched as President Joe Biden apologized for the traumas endured by tens of thousands of children at boarding schools. While some felt the apology was a good first step, others felt it did not go far enough.
🏈 Max Brosmer throws season-high 4 TD passes as Minnesota routs Maryland 48-23 to win third straight. Max Brosmer threw two of his season-high four touchdown passes early, Justin Walley added a pick-six and Minnesota scored three first-quarter touchdowns and easily beat Maryland 48-23 Saturday.
