Radio show host Glenn Beck showed off his oil paintings over the weekend in Park City.

“I don’t consider myself an artist,” Beck said. Painting is a hobby he picked up early on in the pandemic. 

Some but not all of his artwork would be seen as controversial. "I don’t want to make (my art) about politics,” Beck told Deseret News writer Samuel Benson during a personal tour. 

“I do many jobs,” Beck said. “The one I’m most known for is political. But that’s not all who I am. And people miss that message.”

Mitt Romney among 10 GOP senators backing gun safety proposal

Sen. Mitt Romney is among a bipartisan group of senators who announced a framework for gun safety legislation yesterday.

Here's what the deal would include:

• Resources for states to implement red flag laws.
• Investment in mental health treatment and school security
• An added level of scrutiny for gun buyers under the age of 21.

The Utah senator said he is "proud to join my colleagues on this commonsense, bipartisan proposal that will save lives while also protecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans."
