WEB-FIRST REVIEWS OF BOOKS AND MEDIA
Reclaiming Her Time Reclaiming Her Time: The Power of Maxine Waters, a starred nonfiction selection by Helena Andrews-Dyer and R. Eric Thomas, is "In turn both entertaining yet serious. This informal biography will especially engage political buffs but also general readers of excellent biography." Unstoppable: Discover Your True Value, Define Your Genius Zone, and Drive Your Dream Career, by Tracy Timm, is this week's starred economics selection. "For anyone looking to obtain lifelong tools rather than a step-by-step guide to success, this book is for you. Recommended for fans of Carey Davidson’s The Five Archetypes." In fiction, "The character-driven mystery by the award-winning author of Death al Dente [Leslie Budewitz] is darker than many cozies. Readers attracted to unusual settings and mature, introspective amateur sleuths will appreciate" this starred title, The Solace of Bay Leaves, an "intricately plotted story depicting the impact of murder on the family and community."
