“Mobility and liveability are the
key priorities for a smart city” These are the 2 main expectations, expressed by some 2.000 Flemish and Brussels citizens
in imec’s Smart City Meter, our annual survey into their attitudes about
smart cities and the (tech) evolutions involved.
In 2019, 85% of the respondents feel positive – or even very positive – about the smart city.
While they want government to take the lead in improving public space,
citizens are willing to take a – passive or active – role in research or smart city initiatives. |
