At long last, we're just one day away from the 2024 NFL Draft! After months of anticipation, we'll finally find out where some of the more highly touted prospects will land. Whether you're playing Dynasty, Redraft, or Superflex leagues, everything that happens from today through Sunday could potentially have an impact on your next Fantasy draft. |
Our FFT team put together a few interesting mocks just before draft day to provide a glimpse into what could happen Thursday night. Heath Cummings put together a Dynasty football Superflex rookie mock draft which had a handful of surprises. One of the top quarterbacks dropped further than expected, while an unforeseen run on running backs happened in Round 2. |
Dan Schneier's 2024 NFL mock draft features a trade-up that would make for a very exciting Fantasy Football season as well as justification for all 32 first-round picks. You'll also be shocked to see where the top wide receivers in the draft class land in Dan's first-round mock. Dave Richard also tried his hand at a mock draft. |
In Dave's 2024 NFL mock draft, he took several factors such as each team's respective scheme, philosophy, needs, and salary cap into account. |
Heath's Dynasty tight end-premium rookie-only mock draft |
was a Superflex league. The purpose of this draft was to see if boosting the value of tight end receptions would have an impact on how the 2024 tight end class was viewed. For more on how emphasizing the tight end influenced this draft, be sure to check out Heath's Dynasty tight end-premium rookie-only mock draft. |

Dynasty football Superflex rookie mock draft |
Heath Cummings puts mock drafts together in a variety of ways. Sometimes he gathers the CBS team, and other times he invites analysts from around the Fantasy industry. This time, he gathered 11 other drafters from the Fantasy space and finished with a mock that yielded some very intriguing results. |
|
Jayden Daniels fell to pick No. 6, even though he's currently rated as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft. Additionally, Jonathon Brooks, Trey Benson, Blake Corum, Braelon Allen, and Jaylen Wright were all taken in Round 2. In a shocker, Luke McCaffrey (a player I absolutely love) was taken at the end of Round 3. Another player I believe is an absolute steal in Round 3 is Jermaine Burton, who is criminally underrated in a deep 2024 wide receiver class. |
|
Dan Schneier's 2024 NFL mock draft |
Dan Schneier's mock draft details a trade for the ages. The Minnesota Vikings trade the No. 11 and No. 23 overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, as well as a 2025 first-round pick, to the Los Angeles Chargers to select J.J. McCarthy. This trade could be beneficial for both parties, as McCarthy could very well be the field general the Vikings are looking for to come in and distribute the football to the likes of Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson. |
|
As for the Chargers, they could certainly use the draft picks to bolster their wide receiver corps after losing Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears in free agency. The Chargers may also opt to strengthen their offensive line and defensive line, which is exactly what Dan has them doing by taking offensive tackle JC Lathan at No. 11 and defensive lineman Kris Jenkins at No. 23. |

Heath Cummings' Dynasty tight end-premium mock draft |
Heath Cummings wanted to see if emphasizing tight end receptions would have an impact on the perception of the 2024 tight end class, and he was surprised by the results. Regardless of the fact that his tight end-premium rookie-only mock draft was a Superflex league, he came away slightly puzzled that only one tight end was taken in the first 26 picks. The second tight end came off the board in Round 3, in Ja'Tavion Sanders. |
|
Ben Sinnott and others soon followed, but I think this is a much deeper tight end class than given credit for. Any team that misses out on Brock Bowers would be wise to pick up Jaheim Bell, who is as versatile as any tight end in the 2024 draft class. Another tight end who isn't being talked about enough is Devin Culp. Because he ran a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash, it almost feels as if he's being dismissed as a blocker. He can absolutely hold his own in the run game despite his 6-foot-3, 237-pound frame and is an explosive play waiting to happen. I look forward to seeing him beat linebackers on seam routes on Sundays. |
