Cooler end to February. We’ll see a bit colder, below-average highs until the weekend. Wednesday highs will be in the teens to 20s across Minnesota, and we will see lows in single digits above or below zero Thursday and Friday.

What you see on your social media seems too fishy to believe? Here’s a checklist to see if it’s real news. We see an overwhelming amount of news -- or posts that claim to be real news -- on social media every day. Some may look legit, but they could be fake news websites trying to spread their messages to millions of real humans like you. How can you tell whether one’s fake or not? Here are some tools you can use to fight disinformation.

Minnesota, U.S. health officials warn: You should start planning for coronavirus outbreak. State health officials say they are well prepared to identify cases quickly and isolate them but if cases are widespread, it's likely that schools, churches and other public meeting spaces would be closed. Families should start to plan how they will stay in contact with each other and to make sure to have basic supplies like food and medicine, officials say.

'Momma on a mission' backs Walz's call for farm safety money
Gov. Tim Walz has proposed more funding to reduce farm accidents by reimbursing farmers who retrofit their tractors and grain bins with safety equipment. He was joined at a news conference by Michele Gran, the mother of Landon Gran, who was 18 when he died in a grain bin accident last August.

Fire destroys 4 buildings in downtown Alexandria
“People that work in these buildings are totally devastated. They don't know what to do,” one downtown merchant said. No injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
