| Port receives $20M grant from DOT The S.C. Ports Authority has received a $20 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to help build a toe wall and deepen three berths at the Wando Welch Terminal. The toe wall construction and dredging work will cost $33 million, of which the port will contribute about $13 million. Vikor Scientific moving headquarters to WestEdge Vikor Scientific, a biotech firm that provides targeted diagnostics to improve patient outcomes, is expanding and will move its headquarters this spring from Meeting Street to 22 WestEdge in Charleston. |
