Ingevity CEO resigns; 'personal conduct' cited

Michael Wilson resigned as president and CEO of North Charleston-based chemicals company Ingevity late last week because of “matters relating to his personal conduct,” the company said. The chairman of Ingevity’s board has been appointed as interim president and CEO until a permanent replacement can be found.

Bioscience organization to host inaugural conference

Southeast Life Sciences will host its inaugural Advanse Life Sciences Conference May 28-29 on the Isle of Palms. The conference will highlight innovations from 50 early stage medical technology and bioscience companies.

Lowcountry Food Bank CEO to retire

Lowcountry Food Bank President and CEO Pat Walker plans to retire this year after eight years at the helm of the nonprofit. Under her leadership, the food bank increased the pounds of food distributed by 72.6%; it currently serves over 200,000 people each year.
