Residential real estate market flat, CTAR president says

Edward Oswald, president of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, said Charleston’s residential real estate sales growth is flat year to date. This year’s closings show transactions are up half a percent and the median price is up 5% for the region.

S.C. Legal Services receives technology grant

The agency, a nonprofit providing free legal assistance to eligible Palmetto State residents, has received $155,940 from Legal Services Corp. to help improve its use of technology to assist low-income individuals with civil legal needs. The nonprofit will use the grant to expand the number of online classes it offers.

Conservation of H.L. Hunley topic of weekly series

The restoration of the H.L. Hunley submarine will be the topic of the weekly Lunch and Learn series at the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum in Columbia on Oct. 25. Conservator Johanna Rivera of the Warren Lasch Conservation Center will discuss the conservation of the sub.
