COG lending $560,000 to tri-county businesses

Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester county businesses that have lost revenue because of the pandemic can apply for $10,000 to $100,000 loans from a new revolving loan fund of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments.

Developer: 'Progress will continue' after fire in Columbia

The historic Babcock building in downtown Columbia caught fire over the weekend. Hughes Development Corp., master developer of the BullStreet District, said site cleanup had begun before the fire and that the project, being undertaken by a Virginia developer, would continue.
