I was honored to host the Race for the Cure Saturday, David did a little outside house work, power washing pollen off his porch. Hallelujah oak pollen is gone! Another wet week ahead as heavy rain, thunderstorms return After a rain-free weekend, showers and thunderstorms will be returning to South Texas this week. Our weather pattern will, once again, be very unsettled over the next week or so. This will lead to rounds of rain throughout the upcoming school and workweek. Ron Nirenberg, Greg Brockhouse headed to runoff in San Antonio mayoral race Incumbent Mayor Ron Nirenberg and District 6 Councilman Greg Brockhouse are headed to a runoff on June 8 after Nirenberg garnered 49% of the vote, and Brockhouse 46%. Today's Headlines Car crashes into East Side church, driver nowhere to be found An East Side pastor is devastated after discovering a car had crashed inside of his church, and the driver was nowhere to be found. It happened at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church on East Crockett Street on Sunday afternoon. Sewer line repairs cause traffic on Highway 90 access road near Hunt Lane Some of the access roads to the eastbound lanes of Highway 90 near Hunt Lane were closed Sunday as crews worked to repair a faulty sewer line, the San Antonio Water System said in a news release. The main lanes of eastbound Highway 90 are unaffected by the closure. Man stabbed during argument inside South Side home, police say San Antonio police are investigating after a domestic disturbance led to a stabbing on the city's South Side late Sunday night.
