March Monthly Briefing: Better Societal Impact

Our views on what matters
In these, the most trying of times, community has never felt so real or been so urgent. If there is one overriding benefit that’s emerging from the Covid-19 virus, it is our human need to connect with where we live and to be better neighbours. While this month’s newsletter was always planned to focus on companies increasing ambition with their societal and community impactwe couldn’t have imagined the richness of examples of innovation, scale and speed of so many in response to the pandemic. Or as our blog highlights, the unintended benefits.

Our healthcare professionals are on the frontline, but so too are our supermarkets, which is why our lead story focuses on how the supermarkets are working to ensure the elderly and vulnerable are prioritised. We have also pulled out examples of the levels of investment that those with a commitment to the local community and the SDGs can now access, alongside the technology solutions and innovative measurement frameworks, such as our own LBG Network, that now exist to help provide the evidence of the impact being made.

Societal impact is now our united focus and how together we’ll get through this pandemic challenge. Long may it continue.
