What started as two brothers playing turned out to be a nail-biting situation for parents. On this day in 1968, The Canberra Times reported on a four-year old boy that was missing for 10 hours. He was found at 9.30pm locked in a cupboard of a vacant house. The house from which police rescued Nigel Croon, of Curtin, was only yards from his own home. Nigel's father, Chris Croon, said Nigel was unharmed but very hoarse, probably from crying.
