As summer draws near but coronavirus concerns continue to keep most of society shut down, more cruise ships have canceled visits scheduled for Maine next month.
The sap has been flowing for weeks in trees in maple country, but syrup sales may not be so swift, with restaurants and specialty food shops closed, sugaring events canceled and fans staying home to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
More Mainers filed for unemployment last week than in the record-setting previous week as the new coronavirus outbreak places the U.S. economy under immense stress.
