Changing constitution: The Louisiana Legislature will soon begin to tackle a proposed rewrite of the state constitution, one that would put sections that govern the state’s judiciary — including rules for state appeals courts, parish district attorneys and the Judiciary Commission — under the control of legislators, not a popular vote. Tyler Bridges has the details.
Pride on the northshore: The Mandeville City Council has granted a permit for what organizers say will be the first Pride parade on the northshore. The decision was not without discussion, and Bob Warren was there amid a packed council chamber.
