The money is from a pool of $500 million set aside by the Legislature and governor for bonuses to those who worked in health care, child care, retail, food processing and other professions where working from home wasn’t an option.

Report: At least 26 Minnesotans died in domestic violence incidents last year
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Violence Free Minnesota issued its report that found that of the 26 known victims, 20 were women killed by current or former intimate partners. Six others were family members or bystanders.
More high-ranking Minneapolis police may get retention bonuses
Facing a shrinking police force, a committee of the Minneapolis City Council voted Monday to move forward a proposal to expand the number of employees eligible for $7,000 retention bonuses in the department.  
 
Republican candidate for Minnesota secretary of state won’t say she’ll accept coming election results
Kim Crockett's remarks came during a debate on WCCO Radio. "I think that's kind of an odd question,” Crockett said when asked by moderator Blois Olson if she would accept the results of the election. “We aren't there yet. We're weeks out. And we'll just have to see what happens between now and the certification of the election." 
Minnesota state auditor candidates can't even agree on what the job does
The Minnesota Auditor’s Office is responsible for acting as a watchdog over $40 billion in local government spending and, in some cases, investigating complaints. On the whole, the office is supposed to go in and assess documents and data and offer an evaluation. It doesn’t typically prescribe policies for local leaders or others to pursue.
