INDUSTRY NEWS

ATLANTA: The American Cancer Society will host the "Hope Ball @ Home" on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. The virtual event, which will stream live on the nonprofit's YouTube channel, will honor Arthur Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC.

LOS ANGELES: On Sept. 12, Premiere Props will be virtually auctioning off more than 20,000 exclusive props and furnishings from private celebrity engagements, global events, and movie premieres from event company R. Jack Balthazar. The event will be broadcast from the R. Jack Balthazar offices, and bidders can bid online or over the phone.

NEW YORK: MoMA PS1 will reopen Sept. 17 with a new outdoor commission by Rashid Johnson and an exhibition on art and mass incarceration organized by Dr. Nicole R. Fleetwood. Additionally, on Sept. 5, the arts center will host a one-day celebration of New York's music communities broadcasting online and from various outdoor venues.

SAN FRANCISCO: SF (Open) Studios, presented by ArtSpan, will feature over 250 artists distributed across multiple interactive virtual events from Sept. 16 to Oct. 14. It's been organized to support local artists during the COVID-19 pandemic and will feature events ranging from live studio tours to curated art salons.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington will announce the winners of The Rammy Awards during a virtual event on Sept. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. Streaming live from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the event will honor the expertise and achievements of individuals in the restaurant and food service industry. In addition to the presentation of awards, it will feature interviews with the winners and a showcase of finalists across multiple digital platforms.
