Construction has begun on what officials say will be a "sustainable forest city" to replace Indonesia's capital city, Jakarta, which is plagued with pollution and sinking into the Java Sea. Authorities say the new city is being developed with a focus on sustainability, with green spaces and buildings, food production, renewable power and smart waste management. "We have to think beyond what is happening today and try to tackle (things) that are futuristic," says Bambang Susantono, who chairs a government agency tasked with managing and governing the new city, named Nusantara.
