A Message From the Editor

Good Morning. Morgan Lewis says its decision to bring on Kramer Levin's lawyers in Paris and move into the New York firm's former Paris office space is already paying off. Also, private equity firms in Canada are eyeing opportunities in the tech sector, and Canadian lawyers expect a busy year thanks to lower interest rates and lots of available capital, despite uncertain trade headwinds brought on by tariff threats from U.S. President Donald Trump. And we're covering reports from the U.S. that show profits are surging across Big Law tiers, but law firms are trying to cope with partner segmentation as top rainmakers bring in so much of the increased revenue.

– Lisa Shuchman, Executive Editor
