Michigan has an obesity problem; nearly a third of us fit the description   Obesity is not a new issue. But it certainly isn't going away. Nationally, an estimated 31.3% of adults are obese. Michigan slots in at 32.3%, good for 32nd in the nation. The definition of obese is based on measuring a person's body mass index.
