As of Sunday, the Great Lakes had 51 drowning deaths spread between their waters. When considered in total, that's two more than this time last year. If you look at Lake Michigan specifically, though, you'll see a shocking increase in drowning deaths. So far, 27 people have died from drowning in Lake Michigan.
