Michigan voters to winnow field for governor, other races in Tuesday's primary
There is plenty on the line Tuesday in the Michigan primaries. Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians will select their candidates for governor. Republicans get to choose who will face incumbent Debbie Stabenow in the November election for U.S. Senate. There are a number of house seats up for grabs. Plus, there are local races and millages to decide in many Michigan municipalities. As you can see, there is a lot to prepare for before heading to your local polling station. Allow us to help. Who's running for governor in Michigan?
 
Do you know all your options for the gubernatorial primary this year? For the first time in two decades, voters will get a chance to pick between three primary ballots. Besides the Democratic and Republican options, there is a Libertarian ballot. In total, nine candidates are running for governor in the primary and only three of them will move on after Tuesday. One Republican, one Democrat and one Libertarian will move onto the November election and face independent candidates, along with Green Party and Natural Law candidates.
