Hash Bash a buzz of peaceful pro-pot protests
Pot supporters gathered once again in Ann Arbor on Saturday under a haze of weed smoke to call for the legalization of marijuana in Michigan. Organizers are hopeful this year's 47th annual Hash Bash will prove to be the last of its kind. With quarterback Brian Lewerke returning to lead the way, there is plenty of optimism in East Lansing coming off a turn-around 10-3 season. MORE

MLive statewide reporter Amy Sherman is our resident beer aficionado. So when she offers a recommendation, it is in your best interest to give it a try. The Michigan Best stalwart's latest find comes from Odd Sides Ales in Grand Haven: A new line of Fruitcicle beers. While fruity beers aren't normally our thing, an endorsement from Sherman is enough to get us to line up a designated driver and head over to the Lake Michigan coast to try a pint or two. MORE
