5 reasons why you need to rethink holiday celebrations because of COVID-19 As the coronavirus pandemic roiled Michigan in March, few anticipated that eight months later, we’d still be in crisis. But here we are. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has strongly recommended a severely downsized holiday season, at least in terms of gathering size. And a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order has gone even further, officially limiting private gatherings to a maximum of 10 people from two households. Benson’s office has been preparing for a post-election audit over the last 22 months, she said. “Throughout my tenure as Michigan Secretary of State, and indeed long before, I have spoken repeatedly on the importance of post-election audits to ensure Michiganders can trust the outcome of our elections as an accurate reflection of the will of the people,” she said in a statement Thursday afternoon. What used to be an old train depot is now a 2,750-square-foot home, which has hit the market for $324,900 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Located in Negaunee, this structure was built in 1910 and opened for business that same year on Christmas Day. The depot closed in the mid-1960s. The current owner purchased it in 2001 and spent four years restoring it, incorporating a lot of the depot’s historic features into the home. Sound cool? It is!
