Michigan is full of talent

We've had quite a few contestants from Michigan on this season of  "The Voice". Unfortunately one was eliminated last episode, but another has a good chance of going all the way.

Blake Shelton considers him the "Tom Brady" of his team: 15-year old Brayden Lape from Grass Lake. Lape went against a much more experienced performer and came out victorious.

Also from entertainment, a bunch of celebrities gathered in Detroit at Motor City Comic Con including Alice Cooper, James ‘Murr’ Murray, and Danny Lloyd.

Weather whiplash ahead: 70 degrees or warmer coming very quickly

Make some plans for a warmer weekend: Temperatures are predicated to get gradually warmer each day this week, with some cities possibly reaching 75 degrees by Sunday.

That's the way it goes: It feels weird to tell you warm temperatures are ahead after there were record snowfall measurements from that very odd October snowstorm. But you know, it's Michigan.

Judge finds cannibal killer Mark Latunski guilty of first-degree murder

The ruling: A Shiawassee County judge has found Mark David Latunski, the man who previously admitted to killing and dismembering 25-year-old Kevin Bacon of Swartz Creek, guilty of first-degree murder.

Response from the family: No chance for parole. No chance of being out in the public. That’s what Karl Bacon, Kevin Bacon's father, had been praying for ahead of the degree hearing.

3D printed home could help Michigan’s housing shortage

Starting the process: Construction has kicked off on a 3D printed home in Detroit. This is believed to be the first state-funded 3D printed home in Michigan.

A possible solution? In recent years, 3D printing has been heralded as a quick, cost-efficient way to build sustainable homes. And full 3D printed home communities are underway in Texas and California.

Also in economy: On average, first dates cost $91 according to a survey from LendingTree. They found nearly one in five Americans are going on less dates because of inflation.

The Detroit Lions are back this weekend, but what will they look like?

Ask Kyle:The Detroit Lions got some badly needed rest. But the challenge will get no easier when they return to the field this week, as they take their three-game losing streak to Dallas for a matchup with the 4-2 Cowboys. Kyle Meinke dives into the mailbag to answer your questions.

Brave Michigan's Museum of Horror: Wish things were still spooky after Halloween ends? You might get a thrill after stepping into Michigan's first year round horror museum set to open today in downtown Monroe. MLive got a sneak peak inside ahead of its grand opening. 

Speaking of Spooky: Michigan-based American Chillers author Christopher Wright, under the pseudonym Johnathan Rand, visited a Flint elementary Wednesday morning to promote and inspire literacy among youth.
