A look at the median salary for 700-plus jobs in Michigan An estimated 3.92 million Michigan residents were on a payroll in May 2020, and the median annual wage was $40,914 for a full-time worker, according to the most recent employment and wages report by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s a 9.7% drop in the number on a payroll compared to May 2019, showing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic last spring, while the median wage rose 5.8% from $38,680. Along with sending out the checks, the IRS says it will unveil a pair of portals for tax payers by July 1 to use in connection with the credit. While details of how the portals will work haven’t been released, parents can still prepare for how they want to approach the credits ahead of time. There are a handful of things to consider before the portals go live and a decision on how to receive the money is made. For the first time since September, the state is below a 3% positivity rate as a seven-day average on coronavirus diagnostic tests.
