Carl D. Bradley sank 61 years ago, causing heartache for town

When the Carl D. Bradley split in two and sank in Lake Michigan on Nov. 18, 1958, grief overcame a Michigan town. Of the 33 men who died in the wreck, 23 were from Rogers City. The Michigan town was devastated as women were left widowed and dozens of children were left fatherless. The Bradley was tied to Rogers City because it was built to haul limestone from a nearby quarry.

Should Michigan have toll roads? Some senators want a study on it
 
Michigan doesn't have tolls along the state's busiest highways. Should that change? That's the question some state lawmakers are asking as they look for road funding solutions. A feasibility study focusing on tolls would be conducted under proposed legislation.
