Winter storm keeps churning: Snow totals starting to pile up

Snow has continued accumulating throughout the Miami Valley as a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for some area counties with 5 to 9 inches of snow expected overall.

• Totals: As of this morning, snow total reports on the National Weather Service website included 5.5 inches in both West Carrollton and southern Centerville. There were multiple reports of over 6 inches of snow in the Cincinnati area. The Cincinnati airport, which is in northern Kentucky, reported 8.4 inches of snowfall.

• More coming: Another band of snow is expected to bring several more inches of accumulation through mid-afternoon, especially to areas south of I-70.

• Standing snow: Whatever snow we do end up with is likely to stay for awhile, as the high temperature is not forecast to get above 30 degrees all this week.
