Deal to speed Air Force base PFAS cleanup blasted as 'propaganda'
 
An agreement announced earlier this month between the state of Michigan and the U.S. Air Force already is coming under fire. The verbal agreement was meant as a step forward in the investigation of PFAS contamination at the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda. However, local officials and activists are not impressed. In fact, a pair of individuals - Oscoda Township supervisor Aaron Weed and Metro Detroit attorney Tony Spaniola - have blasted the agreement, going so far as calling it "propaganda." They say the agreement actually is an impediment to speeding up the sluggish investigation. MORE
