Amash takes to Twitter with impeachment talk, President Trump blasts him for it
 
U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, R-Grand Rapids, didn't win any points with President Donald Trump over the weekend. After reading The Mueller Report, Amash took to Twitter to express his takeaways. The takeaways were not flattering of Trump. Most notably, Amash, who has been an outspoken critic of Trump in the past, wrote that the president "has engaged in impeachable conduct." This was Saturday. Trump fired off his response Sunday morning. He didn't mince words in calling Amash, among other things, a "lightweight" and a "loser." MORE

Lawmakers would have to disclose financial conflicts under bills
 
Michigan House Democrats and Republicans are working together to address the lack of financial transparency in Lansing. An eight-bill package sponsored by four Democrats and four Republicans should reach the House floor this week. The goal is to make Michigan the 49th state to require state-level officeholders and candidates to disclose basic financial information. MORE
