Tomorrow marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. While everyone remembers Neil Armstrong's first step on the satellite's cratered surface and those iconic words he uttered, he wasn't the only one there. Edwin Aldrin, better known as "Buzz," was there too and he carried two objects as he stepped onto the moon. Those pieces of equipment were designed and built in Ann Arbor. Hundreds attend memorial service for veteran with no living relatives

Despite a lack of living family members, Wayne Wilson's memorial service was overflowing with people celebrating his life and his service. The Vietnam veteran died in May during heart surgery, and on Wednesday, he received proper military honors during a graveside service in Niles. Hundreds of community members, fellow veterans and motorcyclists showed up to send him off. "Wayne Wilson, whether he knew it or not, was a hero," said Niles Mayor Nick Shelton.
