Farewell, Peanut: The world’s oldest chicken has died at the age of 21, after living a long and eventful life in Michigan. Peanut’s owner, Marsi Parker Darwin announced on a blog post on Wednesday, Dec. 27, that she had died in her sleep in the early hours of Monday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day. "Weird Duck Time": While many birds fly south for the winter, the Great Lakes has a surge of waterfowl where more than 30 species of northern ducks, geese and swans return to the region.
