Education groups concerned about bills in lame duck   The most dramatic moment last week during the lame duck session in Lansing was over an education issue, when a new A-F grading system for schools passed on a tight vote after 3 a.m. in the House of Representatives on Thursday. Observations from another bad Lions loss hat The Detroit Lions are like an old tattered and smelly sweater that you just can't throw away because you're used to the quiet comfort of inadequacy. Maybe its time for a new sweater. The Lions are one of four franchises never to have reached a Super Bowl. Detroit ain't gonna get their this year either after a loss to the hapless Buffalo Bills eliminated the Lions from playoff contention.
