 U.S. President Joe Biden warned Thursday that Russia could still invade Ukraine within days, and the No. 2 diplomat at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow was expelled as tensions flared anew in the worst East-West standoff in decades. NATO allies accused Russia of misleading the world with “disinformation” by saying it was returning some troops to their bases – one of the gestures Russia made this week that briefly cooled temperatures and raised hopes for peace. Russia is believed to have some 150,000 forces around Ukraine’s borders. READ MORE  A new study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gives further credence to what obstetricians have been saying for many months – pregnant women should get vaccinated to protect themselves and their babies from COVID-19. A two-dose mRNA vaccine during pregnancy was 61% effective against hospitalization among infants younger than 6 months, the CDC found by looking at 379 infants, 176 with COVID-19 and 203 without the disease, from July to January in 20 pediatric hospitals in 17 states. READ MORE ►Michigan man accused in COVID vaccination card scam slapped with civil lawsuit  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says it plans to spend the bulk of $1 billion for Great Lakes restoration on fully cleaning up hotspots that suffer from legacy pollution over the next eight years. The EPA identified 22 sites, known as Areas of Concern, or AOCs, it wants cleaned up by 2030. They are spread across seven states, with the bulk of targeted sites, 9, in Michigan. Under the new deal, Harbaugh will collect a base salary of $655,000 per year through 2026 plus “additional compensation” for television, radio and public appearances. As things stand currently, Harbaugh would be the second-highest paid football coach in the Big Ten, trailing only Michigan State’s Mel Tucker. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources this week announced that it is now hiring for more than 1,300 seasonal park worker positions. Seasonal park workers spend their time in state parks, state forest campgrounds, boating access sites and harbors, where they help with registering campers, cleaning park buildings, mowing grass, maintaining trails and tending to other tasks.
