First cases of coronavirus confirmed in Michigan   Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency after the first cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Michigan Tuesday night. Michigan is the 38th state to have a confirmed case of COVID-19. Fsta Michiganders can place in-person sports bets for the first time today hat  Less than a week before the start of March Madness, in-person sports betting is starting in Michigan. Today at 1 p.m., gamblers will be able to place sports bets for the first time by visiting Detroit casinos.
