In a nutshell, you might want to get your affairs in order today and hole up for the weekend if you live in the lower peninsula. A storm system hefting a wintry mix is heading our way. There will be heavy amounts of cold rain. There will be heavy layers of ice. There will be heavy accumulations of snowfall. Some lucky (read: unlucky) spots will get a heavy dose of all three.
